Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

When an unexpected disaster strikes you need a plan. Do you know what you would do if your business premises were burnt down or flooded, for example?

Who would you call first? How would you inform your clients? What would you tell them? Do you have your client’s data stored securely off-site? Can you continue to operate? If so, how?

Having to think of these things in an emergency is extremely difficult. A business continuity plan can help you to keep your business going when disaster strikes.

Once continuity is secured you need a recovery plan. This all sounds so simple, but think about it. Would you really know what to do if disaster struck?
